Dr Wanis is an excellent senior registrar. He has always been very approachable and supported me during difficulties. This has especially been the case on the ward with patients who have deteriorated and become very unwell as well as with the routine day to day work. He is also very empathetic towards patients and thorough on his ward rounds. He makes an effort to educate them on their symptoms and disease, which I feel is great given the need for rapid surgical ward rounds. Furthermore, he is a great, enthusiastic teacher and has educated me alot about Urology but also has continuously advised me of ways to improve my application for my future career. It has been an absolute privelege to work with him as his junior. I wish him all the best for his future career.

As a medical student I observed Mr Wanis interact with patients, colleagues and students in clinic, theatre and on the wards. He is caring, empathetic and kind treating his patients with dignity and respect in a professional and patient centred manner. As a teacher in the clinical environment he is enthusiastic, approachable, professional, hard working and patient. I enjoyed my time with Mr Wanis in Northampton General Hospital and I would recommend him as a clinician, colleague and teacher.
